Just what I was looking for. I dont like paying much for apps, but this one really is worth it.

Ive spent alot of money on import/export/management apps for contacts on the iPhone and this is the ONLY app I know of that completely exports ALL data fields to csv format Even the optional/hardly used fields such as nickname phonetic and prefix/suffix are included, a feature I requested the developer to implement directly and he did so without complaint. If you are looking for a way to sync your iPhone contacts with other services such as gmail this is the only app that will get it all, and import export in almost any format. Worth every penny its replaced all my other contact apps now including: Remove duplicates Excelcontacts Aircontacts Gcontactsimporter Syncinablink Contactstap Bump ABContacts ContactBook Contact Manager Contacts Contacts 3d Export Contacts Fast Contacts My Contacts Woldcard Contacts

Has very limited import file format. Not worth $4.99. Not sure what to do with this app.

Great App! Its so easy to backup your contacts without registering to any services. Its the best way just to send vcards loaded on your iPhone via e-mail. Great app and its worth buying!

Ive used this App for years. It does all I need it to do. Backup, Restore, at least 4 formats including a nice HTML export option, includes Notes (most dont. I did notice that the file sizes grew astronomically when using on my iPhone 6 versus my iPhone 5 - by like 40x larger. Not sure about why that happened (iOS or Contact Tools). Im pretty sure those iPhone 5 backups had nearly as many contacts and data, but something happened to cause the file size to jump. But being able to upload to Dropbox instead of emailing is seamless, so file size is not an issue for me. I recently bought a 64GB HooToo. Its a thumb drive with a lightning connector. The iPlugmate software that works with it claims to backup contacts. Its worthless compared to Contact Tools. I wont even go into the details of its deficiencies. Give Contact Tools a try. Ive looked far and wide and cant find anything close to this App.

Get it. You will love it. I am giving 4 stars because it does not include the birthday information in the back up or when sahring with other iPhone or iPod. I will give 5 stars when the birthday info is included.

Suggestions...

I have lost or overwritten my contacts too many times when synching. This allows me to simply email my contacts to myself and then I can print out a copy. Perfect for those who lost the ability to do a backup because of JBing or any other reason. This is the first review I have ever bothered with. Thanks

Contacts Tool does just what I need to be able to manage contacts and share them. Using the different export formats, I can have a copy of my address book data in a form that I own -- no need to worry if "the cloud" isnt available or if some web-site is hacked. I can also easily share contacts with others. Using the HTML export format, its easy to have a read-only copy of your contacts that you can access on your computer for searching or what have you, even if you use a PC.

I wanted a tool to backup my Exchange contacts from work and save them locally to my iPhone, and this is it! Im very happy with this app since it saves the info as well as the photos of your contacts - one thing I still need to experiment with is saving the email addresses (my export/import test missed that setting). Thanks for making this useful tool!

No instructions, they say its easy but...I would not buy this again

I needed help online to get it work, fine ! I still dont know if it works also with other apps like note master or notes or any data? This would be then 5 *

This is an excellent tool to get a backup of contacts and have some various formats. Quick, very easy to use. I look forward to using additional features. Thank you.

I bought this because I wanted a method to back-up my contacts and xExportContacts (my previous program) stopped working for me. This program does that and more. I havent tried the other features, but the ability to export ones contacts in various different formats is useful and easy to do. Be aware that unless the binary format is used, not all the fields of your contacts will be "backed up". I dont consider myself a propeller head, but do agree that this application tends toward the technical side, but that wasnt a problem for me. I have not researched the competition, as this program seemed to do all that I wanted. Note that one reviewer stated that birthdays were not included in the back-up. He reviewed version 1.0.0 and as far as I can determine this isnt an issue with version 3.1.0

I have never written a review before .. but .. this app is so good I felt other people should be aware. I needed an app that I could take my entire contact list or just certain ones and send them to my friend in a format that my friend could directly import. This program does that several ways .. email, bluetooth, web server. And it manages the contacts and groups even easier than the native contact UI.

Needed a way to print contacts without loading to Outlook. This App does the trick. It allows exporting the contacts to several different file types. once that is done you just email it to yourself and open it on your computer. Hit print and you are good to go. Great App Thanks.

If u have a mac export using Vcard, email to yourself then import to address book. Works perfect and only takes about 60 seconds.

Ive been looking for a way to export my contacts from iPhone for two months. I was afraid to use gmail and do not have the right version of Outlook Express. This was a snap to use. I opted for CVS file so I could update my Palm with any changes. Well worth the price.

I was hesitant about this app, but found it to be easy n great! I dont have outlook on my pc n had trouble with iTunes syncing so I installed this app n in seconds had a backup file. This is great !!!

I left a job with an exchange server which synced my contacts. In order not to lose them, I needed an app to back them up, then restore them back when I turned off my connection to the server. This app restored all of my contacts (from the custom bin format) without a hitch for well over 200 contacts! No errors at all. Thank goodness for this app!
